It really annoys me when managers do this. A few weeks ago, the checkouts of the supermarket I work in were rammed with customers. The checkout manager was on her lunch and lights were flashing like a Christmas tree (when the cashier needs assistance), I sat on a till and watched as the Store Manager and Deputy Store Manager ignored the lights flashing and walked away from the chaos. I later found out that the DSM sent someone out to the checkout managers car to bring her back from her lunch early so she could calm the place down.
Never been so fuming at the managers in that place. It's their store and they daren't lift a finger to help out around the place, instead sitting in the canteen all day and playing with a ball in the managers office.
Also, so sorry to hear about your family CM, luckily, my family have never been hurt badly by the disease but my mums cousin and auntie both died of bowel cancer before I was born and when she was just a kid. Bowel cancer runs in the females in my family apparently and I was tested for the gene when I was a baby which I apparently don't have thank god. Much love to your family. x
