Oh yeah she's always on about what new stuff she's buying him and then gets angry and writes *another* status about how someone has the brass neck to call her son spoiled.

She's far too immature to be a mum, it's all about the attention seeking with her and it's sad because theres a kid (soon to be two) in the middle of her selfish little world.

I asked her if maybe a two year old is maybe a bit too young for an ipad but she said that they are great for kids learning. That may be true, but so is playing outside, interaction, and wooden building blocks...

And as Sanch said, I imagine they'd prefer a LeapPad rather than a iPad.

The fact she's buying a two year old clothes for christmas shows exactly what kind of mother she is. Where the fuck is the fun in clothes? I have a two year old and a four year old and there's no way I'm buying them clothes for Christmas! It's all about the toys innit......................oh and the birth of christ of course [:D]

Exactly! My grandparents every Christmas without fail would give me and my brother clothes for Christmas. We would get home on Boxing Day and my mum wouldn't be able to hide her disappointment. She didn't like when people gave us clothes and more often than not the clothes went unworn because they were basically old people clothes for children. Ah grandparents.

It was always the cheaper toys that my brother loved. He got loads of remote control cars and racing sets and general boy toys but it was always the little 69p toy cars that he kept in a plastic bag and lined up on the carpet patterns that he played with the most.

It saddens me about my facebook friend, as she clearly doesn't know her son or children at all. Designer clothes are not fun! For her, it's more about the money she's spent rather than if her child is going to enjoy Christmas. I wish I could unfriend her but she's far too interesting/annoying each day for me to give that up!

The sad thing is as well that her child will be very brand aware as they grow up and expect big brand/designer names for future presents, assuming your friend carries on in this fashion...

My cousin raised her lad (now 20) on her own and she didn't have the money to spend on expensive clothes or brand names. A lot of his clothes came from Sports Direct as they would only get dirty/ruined when he was playing outside with his mates when younger. As a result he doesn't give a toss about brand/designer clothes and will wear what he wants and not what everyone else thinks he should be wearing (although he has a great set of mates now who don't seem to be be in that frame of mind either) [:)] He also seems to appreciate the value of money.

I don't recall me or my brother getting clothes for Christmas. Only time I'll buy clothes for friends kids is when they are small babies and I can't resist the cute outfits [:D]

My dad has two sisters and one brother. His oldest sister is a bit of a nutter and cut herself off from the family so doesn't speak to anyone on her side. She has three kids, the middle one isnt much difference in age from me. Recently he's been phoning my parents house at midnight and calling my Gran a 'nutcase' and a 'hashhead' and asking about me and why I moved to England. At first my mum spoke to him and thought it was a one off but he's been doing it three or four nights a week for about two weeks. Always at midnight. Not ideal when my parent's are both up at 4am for work every morning.

So I've told them to call the police which I don't think they will do. We haven't seen him for years because his mum cut herself off which makes it even stranger that he would just out of the blue start phoning my parents. But it sounds like harrassment to me. I've tried finding him on facebook and messaging him to stop but apart from his big sister, I can't find him at all.

This is the last thing my parents need, it's been a hard couple of years for them and just recently my mum found out she is to be redundant early next year. I wish they could have just a couple of months stress free.

Two of my storage heaters, I repeat two of them have went kaput. I went to the council this morning and waited all day until about 4pm for them to turn up. All they did was open up the living room one and flip over a wee metal thing. They took the bedroom one away so I have no heating in there at all but they said the one in the living room should heat up again soon. It hasn't yet [:@]

They are crappy old storage heaters, about 20 years old (according to the dude who saw them today) and I really really need new ones, it's getting cold [&:]
