[:)] It's back and it's actually new! In other words it hasn't been on DVD first.  The opening two episodes were as good as ever! Stewie loves Lois hillarious especially the part when he walked into her room and starting saying mummy, moma, mum, musie ect...for ages and she just ignored him.  Brian and Stewie on the radio could have been better and the first episode of Peter being violated was funny and silly in equal measure.

But it's so refreshing to watch something that isn't politically correct for once...

Laura gets in trouble on Big Brother for jokingly saying the word poof.  Damn! You can't say anything these days without offending someone.  That's nothing, did you see this weeks FG? Now, that's offensive...

Welcome back Peter, Stewie, Brian, Lois, Meg and Chris.  Oh and how could I forget the monkey? Any thoughts?

Henry JW -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 4:15:07 PM)

Sounds good. When it's on?

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 4:16:49 PM)

Tuesday nights - 10.30pm BBC Three

mafyou -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 4:50:20 PM)

I saw the episodes on Tuesday. They were pretty good i thought. I particulary liked Dingo and The Baby.

Sumintelligentguy -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 5:55:03 PM)

You missed nothing, post season 3 Family Guy is very very poor.

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 6:29:04 PM)

In your opinion... I thought season four and five were both excellent,  just as good as any other season.  And this (which is season five in the US) but classed as season six over here has started really well.

absolutely.

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 6:34:42 PM)

Just wondering why you think its poor? The latest seasons just offer more of the same... hardly any plot or constructive storyline but damn it's funny.  Brian and Stewie are still the best double act ever...

Did South Park bypass completely? [:D]

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 7:01:00 PM)

I've only seen south park now and again, it's not something i watch regulary.  I prefer FG and the animation on south park starts to annoy me after a while.  South Park can be really funny too but this is the best IMO

Quite simply, seasons 4 and five just didn't make me laugh more than two chuckles an episode, rather like recent episodes of The Simpsons, which frankly is really not enough, and embaressing considering how funny it used to be

BobaJango -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 11:26:10 PM)

Is this the season that has the Rocky IV montage parody?
If so then i didn't really like the season that much but that bit was great!

chrismart83 -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 11:26:46 PM)

what series is it there currently showing on bbc3, is it series 5?

i loved the bit with Peter and the prostrate check-up.

Sugar Kowalczyk -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (5/7/2007 11:59:45 PM)

I loved the bit where Stewie kept going Mommy? Mama? Mum? constantly and also Peter's mum going along to singles night and Quagmire is there and he kept going over to Peter's mum saying 'Ewwwwwwww'. Other than that I didn't enjoy the whole prostate thing but it was good still doesn't beat some of the previous episodes of the last couple of seasons.

Jackal -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (6/7/2007 1:43:25 AM)

Fuck, I missed it [:(]

Does it get repeated at all?!

Yes, either tomorrow or Sunday I believe.

Technically this is series 5, but over here it's called series 6 cos (for some reason) Fox UK decided to split series 4 in half on DVD and release two volumes as series 4 and 5.  The idiots.

Probably the best opening episode of all the series so far.

ah ok, cheers for that.
I think the first 2 episodes are repeated tonight.

Jackal -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (7/7/2007 4:23:03 PM)

Quite liked the first episode but the second was quite poor IMO. Hope it gets better.

Henry JW -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (7/7/2007 4:29:03 PM)

Saw them both last night. I thought the second episode was better.

I think that was the last series. It's brilliant though, especially Stewie as Mickey and Brian's "DRAGO!!!" at the end.

Caster -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (7/7/2007 11:49:37 PM)

I haven't seen every episode but I think the show got better as it went along.  Tuesday's episodes had me laughing out loud, which is impressive by my standards.  Funniest moment:
"That one felt like my dad"
"Incest in the morn-ing"
"Suppressed memories!!"

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 11:50:50 AM)

Another two good episodes last night.  First one involved a super store taking all the electric from teh town and using it to power it's air con.  Unfortunately this meant that the town had to suffer in blistering heat.  Loved the parts with the tank and Brian and Stewie restoring order to the town.  The Meg bit was hillarious...everytime someone said meg Peter makes a raspberry sound...so funny.  The next one had Stewie signing him and Brian up for the Army.  Just as funny as the first episode, the bit where Brian had to complete the assault course was inspired.  Involved doing a rubix cube and calming a girl down after her bf had cheated on her.  So good - series 6 is on form

swan -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 1:33:10 PM)

the army episode was excellent the west side story bit had me crying!

i007_Bond_007i -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 2:05:40 PM)

Series 6/Latter part of series 5?!?! Why was I not informed [sm=huh.gif]?! I may try and catch these sometime...or I could just wait for the DVD.

theoriginalcynic -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 2:20:07 PM)

Episodes repeated later in week

Mikey C -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 10:52:55 PM)

this reminds me of the time I was watching Family Guy with Gary Coleman

Gary: watchoo talking about mikey c?
Me: This poor cartoon, the humour is based on offensive non-sequitors.Constantly
Gary: watchoo talking about mikey c?

[sm=augen14.gif] but also [:D].  Criticise a show about non-sequitors with that.     If that's not irony, I don't know what is.  And if I think that's irony, I may need to read a dictionary.  Maybe.

Oh, and on the episodes, decent, but the second one was better.

mafyou -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (11/7/2007 11:14:12 PM)

Last night's episodes were not so good. Funny moments but nothing memorable.

theram05 -> RE: Family Guy on BBC Three (12/7/2007 9:49:09 AM)

Gone downhill a lot, which is such a shame, hits every now and again, like Brian as Donald Sutherland in the tank, but it misses far too often, far, far too often.
