I've started catching up with Series 2 after missing a ton of episodes - every time the blackguard Phillip is on screen I keep thinking "What are you doing, you fool! She's amazing!". The crossing over with Forbrydelsen actors is getting crazy now - the Prime Minister from Series 3 of that show showing up and having a meeting with Nyborg?!?

My wee mum is awesome.

Just had a very long walk today, and because my body is still recovering from my op, I have to rest for ages afterwards. So I'm sitting in the sitting room with my feet up and she's pottering about in the kitchen and she just came through and asked if I'd like a drink and a cookie.

Hell yes I would mum!

Jesus wept, I'm on a rollercoaster of emotions this evening.

I'd had such a lovely calming day today after going on a verrrry long walk, and now I'm all over the place. The phonecall to my pal this evening has really agitated me, and now I just received a text from my old manager who'd heard the recent news about my health and was really nice to me saying if she could do anything just to ask and basically just gave me her support.

This is the same manager who made my life a hell when I worked for her. She made me ill, anxious, cry, lose weight from not eating etc. I was a shell by the time I left her work. She was the reason I left my old work!

We all knew she was very Jekyll and Hyde though, when it came to personal matters and non-work related things she was always very supportive and nice. But within work she was awful.

Her text has elicited very mixed emotions.

Thinking of getting rid of my current system, mostly cause I can't be arsed with all the wires, and getting a Philips CSS2123/05.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Samsung thing-a-majig soundbar that, like most Samsung products, looks gorgeous (I can't stand on that side of the room or I get self-conscious) but the performance is sometimes a bit off. The main reason is that it sometimes drops dialogue levels when there's a lot of music/background noise in the film - this only happens on 'cinema' mode though and I am sure there's a way to adjust it but I would feel hypocritical pointing out its flaws when it looks so much better than me. To be honest, that issue aside, I love it; it elevates anything we watch to a real cinematic experience, it barely takes up any space and though its not perfect surround sound, it does a very good job replicating it. Also, did I mention it looks like the Scarlett Johansen of sound equipment?
