I have to say that is incredibly creepy and disturbing. Although I'm a big fan of all Nolan's films, before I was kind of worried that after the brilliance of Batman Begins they wouldn't quite know how to follow it up and develop the style into a quality sequel, but this picture shows Nolan will be giving his own dark, twisted take on the Joker that looks pretty impressive.

i had my doubts about the idea of ledger as the joker but this image looks seriousl creepy! is it may 2008 yet?

Looks nothing like any Batman comic ever. Not Kane or Finger's version, not Miller's not Bolland's, not Adams or Marshall Rogers. If 300 and Sin city can be faithful to the visuals why not Nolan, why because Nolan doesnt give 2 fucks for the comics. Imagine the Alan Moore Joker realised, that's what Batfans deserve, Warners and DC have royally screwed the pooch with their franchaise choices, Singer and Nolan despise the source material, Bale was shite choice to begin with, Nolan can't do action shots, his bat fights made Tim Burton look like a fucking genius.

Well, that makes Michael Myers look like a cartoon character!!! And hopefully it's enough to get a 15 slapped on it. Amoungst the flash that is this summer's blockbuster fayre, this film can't come quickly enough. (although nada obviously thinks differently!)

.....was a character scarred enough to believably become criminally insane- that takes care of that then!!! I sooooo don't wanna see a hammy goon in a purple suit in Nolan's take on the bat-franchise. Don't get me wrong Jack's v.2 was ideal for Burton's film but this is the real deal!!! Yay!! Now, please just don't kill him at the end. Pleeeeeease......!

look, like it or not, this is an adaptation of your precious comic, not a colour-by-numbers translation. this picture is fab - it's twisted and fucking scary which makes me hope that the sequel will be even better than Batman Begins (also, loving the switch of Katie Holmes for the incredibly talented and much less annoying Maggie G) xxx

Holy psychotic images Batman!!! I'm actually really impressed that they've gone for a non comic book style. He looks like he's supposed to be an absolute nut job! Hopefully they'll make him as sinister as he's been shown in the funny books, but I'm glad they've gone different way with the look... Me? Lookin forward to the dark knight? Damn skippy

Yet again it seems Christopher Nolan has come up with the goods, how nasty does Heath Ledger look in that picture?! If this is anything to go by, The Dark Knight will be rated 15 at least,...i cant wait!

Right, now that this is the official picture of Ledgers Joker, I can finally settle to the fact that this second Nolan Batman Movie is going to live up to the expectations of the first!!! Admittedly I wasn't too sure about the pic when I saw it the other day, due to rumours, but I do actually like it, ahem! Not like it... I mean Love it!!! I think this movie is going to be the most anticipated movie since the lead up to Spiderman 3!
