I would be extremely greatful if someone has the time and would make me an animated avatar, from the scene in the matrix where neo is on top of the govement building dodging the bullet from the agent. It would be the best thing ever... PLEASE

I didn't make these, but had them knocking about the hard drive. Credit to whomever did;

can i just have a moving Avatar of anything from Land of the Dead and/or Garden State?

Gethin23 -> RE: Make me an avatar (1/10/2005 10:01:53 PM)

can anyone please make me a moving av of the velociraptor in Jurassic Park 3 jumping towards tea leoni as she's hanging upside down on the tree?

GhostWriter -> RE: Make me an avatar (1/10/2005 11:23:00 PM)

Does anyone know how i can possibly animate my av? I'd love to have the body gently swinging on the rope...

Mr.Tea -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 1:05:04 AM)

I made these using the free transform tool (rotate) in Adobe imageready which I downloaded bought perfectly legaly and all that. Yes.

Faster and smoother;
[image]http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3954/fastsmooth5ew.gif[/image]

Slower yet a bit jerkier;

rick_7 -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 1:28:55 AM)

Mr. Tea, your actual avatar is one of the best I've ever seen.

If anyone could make me a moving avatar of Robert Mitchum, that would be lovely.

GhostWriter -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 10:49:16 AM)

Perfect! Subtle but effective [sm=happy34.gif]

Thanks, it's from http://www.qwantz.com (also accessable through http://www.chewba.ca)

Megalo-who? -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 12:47:57 PM)

Mr. Tea, if I sent you an avi, would you possibly be able to sort it out in ImageReady for me please? As you can see, my HEAT one from the previous forum looks positively shit here.

I'm thinking either something from A Fish Called Wanda (the Kline), Unforgiven, Fright Night or even Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Mr.Tea -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 12:57:43 PM)

Yeah, I think i could manage that, PM me.

Actually, this brings up a bit of a problem I've noticed lateley. I used to be able to open .mov's in imageready (and using a 3rd party program, .avi's too), but since the new version of quicktime/itunes came out, I keep getting an error. Has this happened to anybody else?

I can still make av's from avi's though, it just takes longer to screengrab them a frame at a time.

Thank you Mr Tea! [sm=biggrin.gif]  But which link should I use for the newer version?

Mr.Tea -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 2:14:13 PM)

http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/3334/speedofsound1jl.gif

Or download it and host it yourself.

So as to keep on topic (sort of);

Try using VirtualDub, you can select a small sequence of the video and automatically output it as a series of jpegs

ghost dog -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 4:00:02 PM)

I remember somebody (I think it was Ruffkut) producing a really groovy Ghost Dog av for me about a year ago, but I lost it...so if there's anyone who wants to do one for me or find the old one (Ghost Dog swinging his two guns around in slow-mo fashion and then dropping bodies to the floor) that would be grand!
Cheers[sm=happy34.gif]

Thanks for reminding me about that, I installed it a few months ago, but couldn't remember what it was called, and so couldn't find it for ages. It doesn't add itself to the start menu for some reason.

Hartigan -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 6:12:32 PM)

Could I have a moving av of bruce willis killing himself at the end of sin city please, where its comic book style with him completly white, thanks

Mr.Tea -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 6:26:04 PM)

Again, not mine, and again well done to whomever did make it;
[image]http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/6934/resizedhartigan4cc.gif[/image]

I did make this one just now though;

rich -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 6:29:01 PM)

Tip - search for whatever gif animations you want on google or somewhere and if they're too big, the forum will downsize them - mine as example <

Ripper -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 8:14:26 PM)

Mr Tea you seem like you are a very resourceful guy: thank you for re sizing my coldplay av, but can you do something similar with the U2 iPod advert please?

Thank you!

Spider -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 8:44:14 PM)

Okay, I haven't seen anyone use that Garden State one yet, so can I use it? If the original guy comes in here and posts and wants it I'll take it off, but until then it's cool right?

Thanks!

Edit: oh bloody hell, I dunno how to get these Avatar thingies, is there a topic somewhere that some lovely person could link me to, or can someone explain?

Mozza -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 9:57:19 PM)

New forum, new AV.

This is a complex one, but massive kudos to whoever can do it.  When Frost is telling his Vietnam story, and he starts miming the killing of the VCs, can someone make me one of that, but cutting out the bits with Tom Savini? No offence to the living legend that he is, but it always gets a chuckle from me when he does those actions.

MuckyMuckMan -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 10:14:33 PM)

What software do you need to make avatars? Wouldn't mind doing some myself!

DJ Rob C: Mark II! -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 10:56:42 PM)

Could someone possibly make me an Avatar from Army of Darkness. I'd specify a scene, but I'll see what ya' come up with [:D]

Hartigan -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 10:57:29 PM)

Thanks for that Sin City av

Mr.Tea -> RE: Make me an avatar (2/10/2005 11:22:30 PM)

I can only make an avatar of it if i have the source file, so if you find it, PM me and I'll get it done.

As I said earlier, I use Adobe Imageready which you can download for free buy for about 500. I  also use Virtualdub (free) to get the frames in image format.

Here are some I made for Megalo-who? earlier (after he sent me the source files);

[image]http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/3051/cropped200k6pl.gif[/image]

[image]http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/73/450k1pd.gif[/image]

[image]http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6624/422k6zo.gif[/image]

Edit;

I fixed the garden state avatar because it was too fast in firefox so here is the new one;
[image]http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/8049/34446335di.gif[/image]

To set your avatar; Got to 'My Empire' (very top left), then 'My Details', then scroll down to the bottom of the 'About me' section. Click the circle next to 'Enter URL' then put in the URL of the image. In this case it's http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/8049/34446335di.gif . You can find this URL by uploading the image from your hard drive to a place like http://www.imageshack.us.
Then save the changes.
