As a counter-balance to the rage of the Adverts that should be banned" thread, thought I'd start this little beauty.
 
1. Cillit Bang.
BANG! And the dirt is gone. Magic. Barry Scott is my personal hero.
 
2. John Smiths.
Let's face it, anything with Peter Kay in it is on to a winner. I especially lvoe the one where he carts his Mum off to the old folk's home: "Are you mad?" [:D] And I think they're the ones with the new "You're barred!" line, which cracks me up.
 
3. Automatic Garage Doors.
I'm not sure if these are still around - the ones with John Stalker, ex-Liverpool Constabulary, and his dog Drummer. Drummer runs through the sensor, stopping the garage door from moving; Drummer presses the button to show how easy it is to use; John says, "Come on, Drummer, you've made your point." [sm=happy07.gif]

I find the PG Tips Monkey adverts amusing....is that wrong?  Especially the new one, where Monkey is bound and gagged and put in a PG Tips box.  He he [:D]

Y'know, the small-print doesn't specify that the car will not dance/ice-skate. A friend and I entertained the idea of buying one, then taking it back to the dealership and saying, "I've tried playing the music, but it just won't transform.Which button do I press?"

The best Lynx ad was the one with all the girls saying things like,
"You look soo sexy playing air-guitar."
"Cool! I collect comic books, too!"
"Do you mind if my best friend joins us..?"
 
I also liked the Orange ads, "No one puts Swayze in the corner," but I saw them too often at the cinema. Like the new one with Michael Madsen, though!

Orange ads rule!
I also quite like the Virgin Media ones with Uma Thurman - especially the one where she's giving out her phone number in New York...

A few other which were annoying but have started to grow on me:
Quorn - "Touch my food: feel my fork"
Gum (forget which brand) - "I can taste the peppermint!" "mastication for the nation!"

I like the Citreon ads, very clever.  I love the one on at the moment for the Picasso.

Starts off as a light bulb and then transforms, flower like, into a Picasso

I rarely watch ads.  I tend to switch channels when ads come on & when i record anything i fast forward through them.  But on the rare occasion i watch them i have to say that i have always liked the following companies ads:

Budweiser - waaaaaaaassssssaaaaaaaaaaaaaappppppppppppppppp!!!!

Gap

Levi's

Nike

Guinness

I like the pg tips ad with the Monkey @the moment.[:D]

i quite like that bank one (might be halifax) where a huge brawl breaks out in a bank branch with 2 rival gangs of employees with ballroom blitz playing in the background,funny stuff

I like the Kelogs Crunchy Nut ads where theres a special lane for people, and the guy trys to use the lane and someone behind CCTV screen says "get him" and the narrator goes "see".
Makes me laugh anyway

The Mint Card ads with their "Clever Dumb" balance make me laugh.

Particularly the way the Scandanavian woman falls through the glass. classic slapstick.

The PG tips use of the monkey is working well.  It helps that they are not letting the adverts get overplayed prior to releasing a new one.

I liked the old Bravia one where Jose Gonzalez is playing Heartbeats as the balls bounce down the hill.
