Your Guide To The Greek Gods
Apollo
The Romans called him: Apollo. Sometimes Phoebus later on, presumably to avoid a copyright infringement suit.

Not to be confused with: Space programmes, theatres, superhero lovers Apollo and the Midnighter

Rank: God of the Sun, Light, Music, Poetry, Archery, Medicine, Truth, Prophecy and the Arts - basically, he stood at the front when they were handing out rank. Oh, and he's the twin brother of Artemis.

Played by: Dimitri Lekkos (Percy); Luke Evans (Clash)
After Zeus raped his mother Leto and Hera cursed that she could not give birth anywhere on terra firma, Apollo and his sister were born on a sort of floating island. Only four days later, the prodigious young god shot his first monster with borrowed arrows, and got a taste for the whole archery thing (when taking time off from dragging the sun across the sky in his chariot, natch). Also, had fun raining plague-ridden arrows on the Greek camp during the siege of Troy, taking many lovers of both sexes, and messing with prophets.
