Your Guide To The Greek Gods
Get an education for this year's classical renaissance
With Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief mere minutes away and Clash of the Titans squaring off behind it, it's a good time to be a Greek God. Zeus and the gang are back, baby, but just in case you've confused your Artemis and Apollo, your Hera and your Hermes, here is your guide to all the gods and demi-gods that matter...

Your Guide To The Greek Gods
Zeus

The Romans called him: Jupiter

Not to be confused with: The solar system's biggest planet

Rank: Head God, God of The Sky and Thunder

Played by: Sean Bean (Percy); Liam Neeson (Clash)

Zeus has a penchant for changing shape so he can get off with human beauties without his missus finding out. Y'know, cause women often shag showers of gold pieces. And swans. And goddesses are so often be fooled by such stratagems on the part of their husbands. He's also famously mercurial of temper and prone to swotting people he doesn't like with lightning - oh, and since he raped Perseus' mother in Clash, he's not exactly our hero's favourite person. Still, he's powerful enough that when he does come down on the side of right, that pretty much ends the argument.
