Warpath

X-Men: Days Of Future Past - Warpath

Played by: Booboo Stewart

In one of the earliest comic-book outings for the X-Men, a Native American called John Proudstar, who went by Thunderbird, was tragically killed. Warpath is his brother, James, who initially blamed the X-Men for his death and adopted the same name on a mission of vengeance. Once convinced that the X-lot were innocent, he went in peace – only to soon find himself the only survivor from his Apache reservation following a massacre. That’s when he took the name Warpath and went on the same.

Initially a member of X-Force, Warpath joined the X-Men proper after he kept his powers during the Decimation event (long story: most mutants lost their powers though). And what powers those are! He is super-strong, super-agile, nearly invulnerable, has super-senses and can fly. He probably even keeps a tidy sock drawer; he’s that capable.

As with Sunspot, we’re guessing that Warpath will have a relatively limited role in this film, but it would make sense that someone this strong (his powers dwarf those of his deceased brother) might have survived the Sentinels to help launch the desperate gamble of sending Wolverine back in time. And yes, that is the kid from Twilight’s wolf pack (aka Seth) who’s playing him.

1 The Chinese Market
@Helenohara The above article speculates Blink getting additional screen time in an International cut for increased success in the Chinese market....... but can Days Of Future Past be shown in China????? I'm sure I read, not too long ago, an article stating that the Chinese government have banned all films involving time travel because they do not want to encourage their people to re-write their own history. I think they'd be hard pressed to convince the Chinese censors that Logan's journey is not time travel thus causing the film to be banned. More

Warpath can definitely fly - it's in X-Force and I think Messiah Complex as well. Some writers just dislike using the power because it seems a bit much (with good reason) so it's been left to one side. I agree he probably won't fly onscreen. And Sunspot's NEAR invulnerable, as I said. You just forget he is because people keep reminding him (like, ALL the time) that he can be hurt. We're looking forward to seeing Quicksilver too. Wonder if he'll be the final newcomer? More

Yeah, I don't recall Warpath ever flying, I guess it was a limited run, and I'm guessing he won't fly in the film. I'm actually looking forward to seeing these Lesser known X-men get some screen time even if it is limited, what the guess that some of them may appear in the upcoming X-Force film. Fingers crossed this isn't the last we've seen of Bishop he's one of the greats. Also where was QuickSilver in the trailer...Overall Cannot wait for this, only thing that I'm unsure about is the apparent lack of 1970's X-men I mean are they going to explain where Banshee, Havok, Emma Frost and co. have gone or just completely forget them ... During X-Force 102-115 Warpath could fly but he has not used that power in a while. As for Sunspot he is almost invulnerable, both he and several other people commented on this when he was injured during a fight with a bad guy. More
