WWF Legends - Where Are They Now?
WWF Legends - Where Are They Now? Mickey Rourke In The Wrestler
WWF Legends - Where Are They Now?

In Darren Aronofsky’s tragic tale of tights in decline, Mickey Rourke plays washed-up wrestler Randy ‘The Ram’ Robinson, eking out a living on the mat long after he should have thrown in the towel. In a salute to The Wrestler, we cast a nostalgic eye over the colourful characters of the eighties and early nineties who made up wrestling’s golden age (before all that WWE nonsense came about) and ask the question: where are they now?

L: willow1984 Very bad article that diverts much respect from deserving old time wreslters and gives next to no respect to the sadly deceased old timers. Theres a million and one facts and stories to be told about the majority of the wrestlers (im never gonna say entertainers!!!) in question that empire chooses to ignore and attempt to sum up in half arsed comical way. Its a shame because they obviously have a fondness for "The Wrestler" movie and even attempt to suggest they understand th... Read More

RE: Not a bad article
Have to agree with what you said there and will happily take back what I earlier said about Benoit. That was one of Wrestling's darkest hours and he wouldn't deserve it. Now that I think about it - Benoit wasn't even part of that era of wrestling. I think at the time I was just thinking about other fallen superstars due to reading about the likes of Hawk, Mr. Perfect and the Texas Tornado etc. ... Read More

What about Diamond Dallas Page? He's into acting now, done a few horror films. The Devil's Rejects, Hood of Horror but most notably Driftwood (by 2001 Maniacs' Tim Sullivan) which he was actually quite good in. Good read all the same if a bit bare on the details of some of the wrestlers.  ... Read More

RE: Who researched this?
L: MartyMcfry You need to have a word with the guy that researched the 'information' in this article. I gave up reading at hilbilly Jim due to amount of errors, the most ridiculous being about Bret Hart, who has said time and time again that not only will he never return to wrestling but that he is actually physically unable to due to the 2 strokes he has had in the last 5 years. Poor read in all, I expect better from Empire. it harsh, seems like a bit of a moot point to get s... Read More

Great entertainment thou and i'm thinking of getting all the wrestlemanias on dvd now to relive some of the great moments! RE: Dnagerous Carreer choice
L: DJ Satan L: Shaun_Cowley08 Not a great advertisement if anyone is considering a career in wrestling. Fake or not the life expectancy is not good. people don't realise the amount of work these performers put into it. They're not just performing once a week in front of TV fans but are on the road performing about 300 shows a year. That takes a serious psychological and physical toll. sp; Yeah I agree totally, just an observation I do enjoy watching it, it is pure entertainm... Read More

Warrior made a one night only 'comeback' last year.  I think it was in Barcelona, against Orlando Jordan.  Awful match, the crowd were dull as dishwater.  Warrior updated his website with his training leading up to the match etc.  Very slow, predictbale.. .a real shame, there was no pop when he came out. ... Read More
