A Shot-By-Shot Analysis Of The New Wolverine Trailer
"All the horrible things in your life..."
That's William Stryker (Danny Huston) we're listening to - you may remember him when Brian Cox played the same character in X2. Huston told us that his violence is "mainly intellectual" in this movie, and this speech seems to be a perfect example of that, since he's clearly trying to get Wolverine (for that's who he's speaking to) to do something that's not in his best interests...

Kid In Elastic bands
The kid tied by elastic bands has to be Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver. He's Magneto's son and has the ability to move at a rapid pace. The only logical way to stop him is to hold him in place without any contact to the ground, hence, the elastic ties... ... Read More

Wolverine's Nickname
He was called wolverine by his fellow workers at the mine he ended up at with Rose (going by the Origins comic storyline) Wolverines (the animals) are very good diggers and that's what his job was at the mine... to dig. ... Read More

RE: Cool
L: cornflake180 Cant wait for this to come out. Does his super sense of smell have something to do with the Wolverine nickname??? f I remember correctly, in the comics they explain his hightened senses (which are left from the original idea of him being a mutated wolf-man hybrid, rather than just a mutant) as being due to his healing factor. Something to do with his cells regenerating some much that his body fuctions are turned up to 11 or something - but again, I'm fuzzy on the specif... Read More

Elastic band Cage guy on page 37
could that be Cain Marko aka Juggernaut, who was played by Vinnie Jones in The Last Stand. it would make sense seeing that the elastic bands would be limiting his movements. it couldnt be magneto as he looks too young if this is set 20 years before X1 ... Read More

RE: chopping head off...
L: thogo I believe that the last shot between Wolverine and Sabretooth when he says something about chopping his head off is a signal to the Wolverine comic line when wolverine actually kills sabretooth by chopping his head off with a special katana, which was actually made to kill Wolverine. sp; Its just a shame that in this new trailer they've felt the need to sanitize that Wolverine line... if anyone remembers, the Comi-Con trailer version went like this... "I'm gonna cut your am... Read More

I'm really looking forward to this but am completely underwhelmed by the trailer! Does that mean the film might be good?   It looks like they've thrown everything at it - including the kitchen sink! Can someone explain why Gambit is in it? Apart from the fact that they wasted their chances to use him in the X-men trilogy.... ... Read More

RE: cool trailer
@ onejedi. Glad to see someone with a different point of view. I mostly agree. What I hated about "Last Stand' is that they crammed too much in and didnt do justice to some great characters. Would have liked Singer to stay away from Superman and done the two film 'Phoenix saga' he wanted. ... Read More

Wow
Wow this looks very very good I cant wait till next year , Liev Schreiber looks great as Victor Creed interesting he is not called Sabretooth , as far as the X Men films go my fave is X2 for the opening sequence in the White House and for Wolvie going beserker on the Soilders very well done and not overlong ike some fightscenes in movies - Matrix Reloaded for example , I actually enjoyed X3 a lot but you could tell it was not directed by Singer though but it was nowhere near as bad as it could h... Read More

ENOUGH!!!!
Im a huge marvel comics fan, and have been for most of my, admitedly short 22 year, life and this movie could well be the final straw in the on going "stupid comic book film made by stupid film company who have no desire to make a film of the comic but rather a shit film staring a cool character to milk for money!" saga. There are only two brilliant, faithful and true marvel movies that have kept the original source material at their hearts. Hulk and Iron Man, both felt like their resp... Read More

Meh! ...should still be entertaining.
Will watch cos I'm a fan of the comic and the story seems at least plausible but the look and feel (and almost certain PG13 rating) of what is essentially a pretty violent saga don't leave me massivley optimistic I'll see something that'd exceed my expectations based on the mostly disapointing X-Men trillogy. That said Liev Schriber looked very good as Sabertooth and looking forward to seeing Gambit in screen and Ryan Rynolds as Deadpool. ... Read More
