A bit of a fanboy, he took over the mantle of Nite Owl following the retirement of his mentor of the same name. After the outlawing of herokind he's become a bit pudgy around the middle, but still longs for his heroic days, keeping his owl-themed aircraft ready to go at a moment's notice. He's still close with a couple of members of the Crimebusters team (the group that the Watchmen main characters made up), helping Rorschach in his crime solving and starting a relationship with Laurie. He's the nice guy of the group.
