Alice Cullen
Aside from Edward, Alice is the member of the family to whom Bella is closest. But like Edward, Alice has significant supernatural abilities - she can see the future, at least once people have made decisions which affect it. As a human, this ability saw her incarcerated in an asylum. There, a very old vampire changed her to protect her from the hunter vampire James, an adversary to the Cullens later in Twilight. Once a vampire, Alice roamed, and on her way found Jasper, foreseeing that they would fall in love (these premonitions are a bit circular, eh?). She then brought him to the Cullens as well, where they've lived largely happily ever since. Has a tendency to get all enthusiastic about makeovers, parties and presents.
