Carlisle Cullen
A visionary vampire, the first of his kind to quit human blood for "vegetarianism", Cullen is about 350 years old, and originally from London. The son of a pastor, he was trained by his father to hunt supernatural creatures including vampires, until the night that one bit him and left him to die. He crawled away, hid and transformed in secret. After spending over 300 years resisting human blood, Carlisle has enough self-control to work as a doctor. He turned most of the rest of his family to vampirism, but only to save their lives, so that's OK.
