Your Guide To Who's In And Who's Out In The 2007 Movie
Autobot

Name: Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime

Position/Function: Soldier/Autobot Leader

Bio: It wasn't until Transformers: The Movie that we got our first glimpse of the Apple Pie American Autobot, Hot Rod. He's an excitable, arrogant youth who rarely thinks before he acts. Impulsive and dedicated to living life in the fast lane, Hot Rod's mischievous antics unfortunately played a part in the untimely demise of Optimus Prime. Nevertheless, his primal instincts were later rewarded as he temporarily took over the Autobot leadership (as Rodimus Prime), defeating Unicron in the process. His irksome relationship with his mentor Kup - a very dull Transformer with an unappealing head - was also highlighted in the 1986 movie. Hot Rod is fast, red and damn cool, he should therefore have been part of any Transformers cast.

Transfact: When Hot Rod managed to open the Autobot matrix of leadership, he was instantly transformed into Rodimus Prime. The alterations were somewhat strange. Apart from his voice breaking, Roddy seemed to morph from a nippy, streamlined racing car into an unwieldy, rather unattractive camper van.

Most Likely To Say: Let's burn rubber!
