Shaolin Soccer (2002)
Let's face it, when your opponents are named 'Team Evil', hopped up on "American drugs", you shouldn't expect a fair fight. Just as well that filmmaker-star Stephen Chow and his unlikely band of brothers can call on skills Pele can only dream of. Why bend it like Beckham when you can shoot with flaming, glove-melting force or form a "kung fu barricade shield"? A giddy mix of gravity-defying wushu stunts and Tex Avery cartoon antics, Shaolin Soccer is the missing link between The Matrix and Match Of The Day, and more fun than either.
