Goldeneye

Catching A Plane
For preposterousness, you can always rely on 007. After immediately winning over concerned fans in the opening seconds with that franchise-defibrillating bungee jump, director Martin Campbell (yes, he of Casino Royale) let everyone know that this incarnation of Fleming's super spy wasn't going to be above the larger than life antics that made his name. Having set explosives to a mountain-top Soviet chemical factory, a motorbike-mounted Bond chases his only means of escape - an unmanned light plane - off of the edge of the runway. Ditching the bike, our James pin-drops down to the nose-diving plane, gets in, pulls like a bastard on the controls, recovering it just in time, and flies past the now exploding building. Alan Partridge would be in tears of joy.
