The Hammer And The Corridor
It should come as no surprise that a movie infamous for its queasy sense of extremity (incest? Check. Tooth removal by hammer? Check. Live octopus eating? Check.) should make this list. The scene's simple enough - frazzled vengeance-seeker Dae-su is at one end of a corridor. A dozen or so armed goons are at the other. Dae-sue wants to get past them. All he has is a hammer. So he launches himself into them, kicking-off a virtuoso one-take bundle that's so convincing, you almost come away from it with bruises yourself. Talk about traumatic...
