The Return Of The Pink Panther
Clouseau Vs Cato
The debate is still going as to whether this or the longer, even sillier sequence in its sequel (The Pink Panther Strikes Again) is the funnier of the two, but for the criteria of this collection, 'Return' has it. Amid the useless Inspector Clouseau and his equally inept martial arts sparring partner Cato (Burt Kwouk) destroying his apartment with some surprise 'practice', the detective launches into a gravity defying flying karate kick. In protracted slow motion, including a priceless close up of the airborne Sellers - we see Clouseau completely miss his opponent and crash through his kitchen door, to be covered in broken crockery and plaster.
