True Lies
You're Fired
It should come as absolutely no surprise that the craziest action sequence ever made is at the climax of an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. The winning scene here, from True Lies, is unparalleled in its absurdity as Arnie's secret agent takes his fight with terrorist leader Aziz onto the back of an in-flight harrier jump jet. Knocked for six, Aziz becomes caught on one of the plane's missiles and, after casually dropping the one-liner "you're fired!" Arnold launches the missile, terrorist in-tow, sending it through a nearby building and into the side of a helicopter. A close-up of the terrorist's face a second prior to impact is but the icing on this utterly daft but undeniably brilliant cake.
