Male clothing can be somewhat dull, but two groups heroically fly the flag for bright colours, big shapes and lots of silk in men’s tailoring: gangsters and Las Vegas showmen. De Niro, combining both in Scorsese’s desert epic, and coached in his style by glamorous wife Ginger (Sharon Stone), mixes classy and LOUD, and has never been better dressed.
