Thor: The Who's Who
We bring you a guide to the cast lining up in Kenneth Branagh's superhero epic, Thor

Filming begins on Kenneth Branagh's super-sized Marvel epic, Thor, in January. Handily, he's virtually completed casting, with the announcement of the actors who will play Thor's sidekicks, the Warriors Three. But if you don't know your Asgard from your elbow, here's our handy hint to who's playing whom in the superhero flick that could well be Marvel's Lord Of The Rings.

WORDS CHRIS HEWITT

Who's He?
The Norse God of Thunder, the blond and bemuscled son of Odin is an Asgardian God, blessed with superhuman strength, the ability to control thunder and lightning and, thanks to his enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, the power of flight. In the movie, he's headstrong and arrogant and banished to Midgard (Earth), where he learns the meaning of humility and heroism while disguised as a human doctor, Donald Blake.
Who's He?
A 26 year-old Australian actor, veteran of a three year stint on Home & Away (he played Kim), who has exploded onto the Hollywood scene thanks to his fantastic turn as George Kirk at the beginning of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. Since then, he's bagged big roles in the remake of Red Dawn and Joss Whedon's The Cabin In The Woods. But Thor will be his crowning glory. Much depends on how he looks with the long flowing locks and the big-buttoned costume, but we've got a feeling that a star may just be born.

The last time Mr Branagh put Mr. Stevenson in one of his movies he WAS the comic relief (the bedroom scene in "Theory of Flight" is hilarious)... and Ray can do both comedy and baddassery. Read More

13 Intresting Bunch.

Never read the comics but this has certainly sparked a intrest. The cast is a unusual bunch from upcomers to resecpted actors, directed by a great Brittish actor and out in two years time. Well, it will be great to check out the next batch of news like pictures and the first ever trailer, gonna look out for this one. It's great that Empire tells us who is who, loving Stevenson's character! But yep, going to be one to go and see. Read More

15 It's No Iron Man Cast.....
Posted on Wednesday November 18, 2009, 16:44 by Blyman
All I can think about is that if Thor is supposed to appear in an Avengers movie next to Iron Man, then Chris Hemsworth will look tame standing next to RDJ. Where's the WW2 set Captain America film with Leonardo Dicaprio? Dicaprio and RDJ (and maybe Norton if Hulk appears) sounds more like it. I'm finding it hard to get excited about a superhero with a big hammer, I'd rather have a flying suit with missles myself....... Read More
