The Story Of Tron Legacy
What's Tron, why is there a sequel, and why you should care...
This week, the trailer for Tron Legacy finally hit the Interwebs and blew our collective minds. As we wait for the film itself to arrive (not until December, people; don't start queuing just yet), we thought we'd take a quick wander down the memory paths to chart how the sequel even came about...

The Story Of Tron Legacy
In The Beginning

The original Tron was the brainchild of animator Steven Lisberger, who, back in 1976, began to realise the impact that computers were having on the world, from games like Pong to the amazing graphics being created by the likes of the MAGI team. While the Internet and common computer use were still a few years away, Lisberger poured a lot of his money into development and then convinced a skeptical Disney executive team to stump up $17 million to begin shooting the movie, which would merge early computer effects with live-action.

Posted on Friday March 12, 2010, 01:31 by Cinema Dave
Given the reaction to Leonard Nimoy and Karen Allen from the previous summer blockbusters, Disney should consider to cast Cindy Morgan in this "Tron Legacy." Morgan has done much to keep the "Tron" Legacy alive. Read More
