A former nightclub manager who won the role after 'playing' Jason as part of an act, Graham's solitary stint behind the mask would see the introduction of the first really overt supernatural element to the series. Before, even when Jason seemed to be utterly unstoppable, his wounds were never really definitive. But at the beginning of Jason Lives, he's dead dead dead, rotting and decrepit. Until, for reasons we can't entirely fathom but which probably have a lot to do with the fact that otherwise there wouldn't be a movie, he's dug up by the hero of parts IV and V, upon which he gets struck by lightning and we're off again. Graham's Jason was a relentless, brutal bastard, ripping out hearts with his new superstrength, and generally being not very nice at all.
What happened next?
You guessed it - Graham did just one more movie, post-Jason Lives; 1992's Highway to Hell. He's back to his old job now, so the story goes, although he sells memorabilia of his time as Jason on his website, www.jasonvoorheesstore.com - click on it, and you'll be greeted by Alice Cooper's He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask), aka the tie-in song from Jason Lives. Graham played Jason for the video.

Probably be quite boring but due to the complete Jason experience being the sum of all it's parts - mother's killings, pillow case, hockey mask, supernatural aspects - I would have loved to have seen a film which contained the finest moments from a frankly torrid franchise.

i am a huge friday the 13th fan,went to see the new one last night and although good,im thinking the writters just didnt watch any of the originals.firstly jason does not run in any of the movies execpt briefly in part 3,he did more running in this one than lingford christie,secondly jason does not keep people hostage he basically kills whoever he meets there and then.and thirdly jason does not live in a nice little log cabin.i like to think of him as living in the lake.you dont see where he goes in any of the previous movies.this one is like the voorhees version of cribs for fucks sake.i dont think the ppl behind this movie done there research

What does it matter what Jason did in the originals? A remake needs to do things its own way to have any identity. Besides, Jason ran in parts 2, 3 and 4, before he became supernatural.

Agreed. I also really rate Freddy Vs Jason. It's a shame the writers of FvJ didn't show the same imagination and flair for the rubbish Jason reboot. Read More

Also lets not forget that upon it's cinematic release Empire's Kim Newman gave Jason X a (fully deserved in my opinion) 4 Stars saying: "Wittily scripted, smartly directed and well-played by an unfamiliar cast, this is a real treat for all those who have suffered through the story so far."
How anyone can say it's worse than 7,8 or 9 is beyond me. It's the only one of them all that I can watch with friends, or more than once at all for that matter! Read More
