The Art Of Star Wars: The Clone Wars | Chick With Gun The Art Of Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Chick With Gun
Here's proof that Natalie Portman's Attack of the Clones white jumpsuit has well and truly entered the geek consciousness: she's back in the same ensemble in Clone Wars, only she's magically morphed into one of those comic-book figures with the clearly impossible curves. We're not sure that gun can have much fire-power either, but it does go with the shape of her boobs so that's OK.

1 Sam Jackson!?

Am I not correct in thinking that Samuel L Jackson and Chrostopher Lee only voiced the characters for the movie, and that different actors are used in the series? Read More

The Genndy series was originally intended as a series of commercials till they saw how good it was and ended up as shorts in 2 microseries. I am old school Star Wars - 5 years old when that star destroyer flew over head and changed my life forever so I can understand the early 'what the hell is this' concerns, but am surprised that you haven't warmed to the series especially with the opening three story arc to open season 2. Holocron Heist, Cargo of Doom and Children of the Force are defintely similar in tone to the Genndy series and more importantly with the stories we fell in love with as kids. Maybe i am biased and whilst a huge fan of Genndy's work (including the brilliant Samurai Jack) but supervising director Dave Filoni is to be applauded and admired - developing characters and fleshing out some of the stories that just didn't feel right in the prequels. He is one of us (a fan) and what they are doing now is G Level cannon and not only comes from George, but is pushing the francRead More

Does anyone know why they've replaced this CG shit for the the original Star Wars: Clone Wars by Genndy Tartakovsky? God the 2D Clone Wars was so much better! Read More

Yeah i guess i should watch more than just the few episodes I've seen so far (the one that came out at the cinema, and the one where Yoda has to compete with Asaaj Ventress for something somewhere which i found so crap i switched it off) It just seems weak from what i've seen, and i'd say I've seen enough to give it fair judgement lol i don't like people bashing something they haven't watched at all. So yes I will check out some more episodes, and hope you're right. But still, so far Genndy kicks that other guys ass on a scale of the battle of Mace Windu vs an entire droid army and big stampy machine thing. Maybe just the whole "sky-guy' and 'snips' things just killed it. Moral of the story is ..i want a book of Genndy's Clone Wars Art, they had some fantastic designers/artists working on that series, some of my faves, a massive inspiration to someone who wants to be like them one day :) Read More

Point taken about the 2D designs and Genndy series it was awesome, but haven't they kept what was great and moved it forward! If you have watched the first three episodes of season 2 you would see how far it's come since the 'movie', some pretty intense and creepy stuff in Children of the Force' and it will only get better. If nothing else check out Cad Bane...great design, voice, mysterious and lethal! Read More

you know what pisses me off about this? that they're making a book of it when they pretty much ripped off the character designs from the amazing 2d Clone Wars, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. All they really did was take those designs and make them 3D. Other wise i'd enjoy such a book. Plus the new Clone Wars was rubbish storywise and I think Genndy Tartakovsky's version was better all round, with some mind blowing action scenes that reminded you that despite how much Luca's killed off anything good about the Jedis in his prequels, that actually Jedis were pretty fucking cool. Go find them on DVD, even tho they're out of 'print'. I'd love to see the same team tackle the time between ep 3 and 4, coz you know if Lucas does it it will be a bag of wank and something about little kiddie Luke and some crap for 5 year olds. Otherwise no-one is allowed to touch upon that time period, altho i really enjoyed the Force Unleashed, it was a cool game/storyline. Read More
