The Terminated The T-800

The Terminator Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton)

The Termination With the T-800's Arnie veneer burned away, the implacable metal bastard just keeps on coming in the factory-set conclusion to Cameron's original. Even when Kyle Reese sacrifices himself to blow the grinning, leering loon in two, it still lurches back to life and continues to go after Sarah Connor. Crawling along on its severed torso, it pursues an injured Sarah through a variety of machines until there's nowhere left for the mother of the Resistance to run. Desperate, Sarah presses a button that traps the Terminator in a metal cage - but still he comes on, his cold metal fingers closing around her neck. Defiant, she scrambles to reach another button and, as she presses it, whispers, "You're terminated, fucker!" And, as a hydraulic press crushes the eerie red light out of its eyes, it's not hard to see that it is.

"This is, hands down, the most eye-catching and memorable death in the Terminator series." Just the terminator series? I think it's one of the best in movie history. Read More

2 T-1000s death
Posted on Tuesday June 9, 2009, 06:44 by two fathoms deep
Either way, when the T-1000 actually bites it, it's still the best termination. Blowing up from the inside, then turning into all those different people while swimming in the molten steel. That's flipping awesome. Read More

3 His name's not Scott Peterson!

I say this because I'm actually a little proud that a character with my name appears in the Terminator films, even if it's only T3, but the guys name is Scott Mason - forget what the credits or IMDB listing says, check out when the cops go to his door after he's been killed and copied by the T-X. I get terminated! :) Read More

Another great moment is of course the 'Tech Noir' scene in The Terminator, which we can class as a termination as the T800 kills a load of innocents as he tries to get to his primary target. The whole scene is brilliant, the 80's music and people dancing in slow-mo, Kyle sitting and observing from a distance and Arnie slowly working his way through the crowd in search of his prey. A great scene and a great film! Read More

6 Technology aids Arnie
Posted on Saturday June 6, 2009, 02:39 by Rob2175
Ok! Sorry have already done one here is another one. It's probably been mentioned already. But in Terminator. Sarah's housemate wears a walkman, so she doesn't hear the rumble in the bedroom between Rick 'Slider' (Out of Top Gun) Rossivich (you knows it!) 'I'm gonna bust you up man!' But he gets a bit of a tolchokin to death. She gets shot. Then the answer machine kicks in telling Arnie where Sarah is. Read More

7 Terminated!!

I take it Empire has spotted the fact Total Film picked the same frackin' moment as no.1 bit in a Terminator film. I would say the end of T2 is the best termination, just as ya think Sarah is gonna do the liquid twat in!! No! she runs out of ammo. When I saw it, people where leaping out of seats and screaming "Nooooo!!" at the screen. But then just when ya think John & Sarah are fracked up comes Arnie. ShaBang! Goodnight VIENNA!! Read More

No 1 can be counted as a termination as at the point of the T-1000's explosion both arnie and edward are in firm belief that they have stopped it. Read More

This feature is so fun in a black comedy sense, I love all the nifty lines EMPIRE came up with. Theoretically speaking, 1 isn't a death scene but could probably be argued that he dies, then comes back to life (I'm not looking to start anything here though!) Read More
