Isn't this all a bit stupid?
As they are all fictitious characters, the writers could simply have them all win the lottery or something and give them another 100 million. They can have as much money as they want. I mean they're all superheroes/villains anyway, who cares how much money they have? Besides, they should charge for their services and make even more if their bank accounts mean that much to them. ... Read More

Wayne Enterprises is primarily focussed on Research and Development. Batman uses the cutting edge technology to give him an edge in his crimefighting (capsules that release a super expanding foam that hardens to be as strong as concrete yet remains air permeable, designed for supporting buildings following an earthquake and used by Bats as a method of subduing super strong criminals is just one example). There is a delay between him using those inventions personally and then allowin... Read More

I think that the problem you have here is that you've made the assumption that the cost of their heroics is tied into they're assets. Granted Xavier may be able to afford a $33million super-jet but it's not like he actually has a market to sell it onto or would be able to. I think we have to remove all of the expenses tied up in their heroics, saying they belong to a charity, Bats can't claim tax breaks on the Batmobile, ol' Shell Head can't claim the $7billion(!) as for his suits as a business ... Empire, you should have known better. Shame on you!
When you post an article on superheroes you must must must make sure that everything you write in both headers and text body is completely and utterly clear cut and accurate. Otherwise you will get every single comic book reading anal retentive posting swathes of "wait a minute, the title isn't accurate" and "NO! Tony Starke's eyes are green grey not hazel brown" comments being thrown at your comment section.

Would'nt it be cool to get Xavier, Reed Richards and Tony Stark together as in the comics for the Avengers movie.
I love the fact that the Marvel movies are intermixing now but would love for them to get back the rights and have Wolverine and Spiderman make an appearance. They are both Avengers these days after all. Although it'd just be cool to have them in cameos to turn down Fury and Starks invitation and save space for the classic guys. ... Read More

For Peter Parker -
'A comfortable living in research' - I think you overestimate the earning potential of most academics (even American ones) and that's without even taking account of the cost of living in New York. According to friends, academics at Colombia (probably the best analogue to Empire State University) really struggle to make ends meet without having to fork out to repair spandex...
