The Survivors Of The Shoah Visual History Foundation
In a rare case of a Hollywood figure having the courage of their convictions, Steven Spielberg set up The Survivors Of The Shoah Visual History Foundation after shooting Schindler's List in 1994. A non profit organisation, the foundation aims to document the experiences of Holocaust surviviors and witnesses. In six years, the Shoah Foundation captured 52,000 testimonies from 56 countries in 32 languages and is using them as an educational resource in the classroom and beyond.
