That He Said No To These Films
When the inevitable questions surrounding a sequel to Jaws began to circulate, Spielberg kept a level head and immediately said "no". Three years after the shark phenomenon bolted across the planet, the imaginatively titled, and resoundingly inferior, Jaws 2 (the one with the all the pesky kids) swam into cinemas. In 1983, a third big fish movie arrived in the form of the atrocious Jaws 3-D (the one with Dennis Quaid...in Seaworld). Amazingly, it only took another four years before the shark - by now presumably very tired - headed back to our shores in Jaws 4:The Revenge (the one where the shark has a personality). Steven Spielberg - a wise man.
