That He Invented The Directorial Dress Code

Spielberg on the set of War Of The Worlds.
Before Steven Spielberg, film directors pretty much turned up for work in a suit and tie. It was Spielberg who set the trend for baseball caps, body warmers, jeans, trainers and the standard regulation YTB (Young Turk's Beard). Follow these tips to get Spielberg style down pat:
Do
Wear a cap from one of our previous productions. Or at the very least your friends productions.
Make sure your beard is in rude health.
Remember the golden rule: what will the outfit look like when you are pointing.
|
Don't
Put on your cap backwards - you might be mistaken for a rapper.
Make the mistake that jeans can ever go out of fashion. They can't.
