The Perfect Adventure Of Raiders Of The Lost Ark

Karen Allen, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford on the set of Raiders.
Raiders Of The Lost Ark is Spielberg's most gloriously, unabashed, all-out-fun movie. Cranking up the action to breakneck levels, the story of the Nazi-clonking archaeologist extraordinaire Dr. Henry 'Indiana' Jones Jr is a rip-roaring yarn, brimming with enough whip-cracking, vine-swinging, and snake-slithering to make it a truly timeless piece of popular entertainment. With Harrison Ford on career-topping form, as the rugged Man In The Hat, Spielberg and Lucas created an old-fashioned, good-time hero, whose escapades in Raiders are the stuff of cinematic legend. Indy may have rode out for two sequels in the form of The Temple Of Doom (1984) and The Last Crusade (1989), but Raiders is the benchmark for not only the Indiana Jones series, but for big-hitting movies everywhere. It is undoubtedly one of Spielberg's crowning achievements.
