The Future

The future's bright for Spielberg.
After twenty five directorial features, innumerable production credits, a string of small screen successes and one ever-present beard, Spielberg is now in his fourth awe-inspiring decade as a filmmaker. Thankfully, for us, he doesnt look like throwing in the towel anytime soon. In 2006 alone Monster House, Flags Of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima were all produced by the director, whilst next years Transformers will also carry a Spielberg production tag. A biopic of Abraham Lincoln, a Sci-Fi project tentatively titled Interstellar, and, lest we forget, a much celebrated return to the worlds of Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park are all set to hit screens over the next three years. As force in modern cinema, Spielbergs canon of work is unrivalled. And perhaps, even after all those moviemaking peaks of excellence, the best is yet to come.
