10 Things We Learned From The New Skyfall Trailer | 3. Dial M for Mistake?
3. Dial M for Mistake?

And what is that mistake that M makes? Well, as Ralph Fiennes’ MI6 man, Mallory, says, she was responsible for the loss of a hard drive containing data on all undercover MI6 agents across the world. It would seem that the opening sequence catalogues Bond’s attempts to retrieve the data, and the loss of the disc might also explain that haunting shot of M standing beside a row of coffins draped in Union Jacks. Is this the price others have paid for her mistake? And will she also now pay the ultimate price?

3 SPOILERS
**Potential Spoilers Ahead (But this is still just pure speculation)** So M orders Bonds 'death' after losing the HDD with the data to all of the undercover MI6 agents out in operation, so that Bond will be presumed dead by the bad guy agencies and can go about his new mission unpeturbed. More

4 Looks very appealing...
Have to say that DC's looking a little old in this and what's going on with his hair?! Vicious side parting or what?! If this movie hits the spot he should stand aside and go out on a high. Hopefully to be replaced by either Chris Nolan/Joe Wright/Danny Boyle and either Christian Bale or Michael Fassbender! More

7 Bond's obituary
The obituary seen on screen is taken, word-for-word (apart from substituting Japan for Turkey) from Chapter 21 of Ian Fleming's 'You Only Live Twice'. The obituary appears in 'The Times' (Bond is described as a senior office of the Ministry of Defence). More

Bond's obit in YOLT makes the papers and I believe they list his accomplishments, and choose a picture, as a naval commander and not a spy. More
