A runaway winner, scientists have shown that Lara Croft is the sexiest imaginary person that has ever or could ever exist. The videogames proved insanely popular at least in part because gamers could make the character grunt and groan in a, ahem, not entirely professional way for an archaeologist. The film version achieved the same effect by casting Angelina Jolie and putting her in short shorts, wetsuits that never gave that blubbery neoprene effect everyone else on the planet has to put up with, and a succession of skintight tops. Then they threw her from heights, attacked her with giant stone zombie things, and got her all wet – basically, the same tactics that gamers had been using for years. Jolie met it all with a snarl and a quip and a cut-glass English accent, leaving Indiana Jones in her dust as the world's sexiest quasi-archaeologist.
Have Your Say
Profession Tomb raider
Played by Angelina Jolie
In Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Tomb Raider: Cradle Of Life (2003)
Moment of hotness Her first appearance, somersaulting down a rope in signature hotpants, vest and thigh holsters, is unbeatable. Although they tried to outdo it with that shower scene, just in case.
Ideal chat up line "Hey, wanna come back to my place and see my collection of pre-Columbian statuary?"
Any drawbacks? Well, the posh English thing might be a drawback for some, and being accustomed to being waited on hand and foot might make her a diva.

You forgot to hook up the doll Firstly bravo Dirtyfunkymonkey, it's not just geeky it's cliched and outside of being a bit of fun, a real insult to women, Jessica Rabbit no2? and Lara Croft no1 there are clearly much more stronger and more seductive female characters in the filmiverse. Surely if your going to compile a list of masturbatory icons, why not include the Alpha Omega of them all, the hypothetical woman made felsh; Lisa from 'Weird Science' as played by Kelly LeBrock. Was this list compiled by a bunch of spotty teens or some guys who spend far too long w*nking over so called Sci-Fi babes whilst wondering what it would feel like to shag an alien...
