The Movies Of The Saturday Night Live Cast
Will Forte
The Quiet One
Tenure 2002 onwards...
Best characters It’s always the quiet ones. Forte may look and seem normal, but his collection of OTT characters are some of the funniest and freakiest fuck-ups in SNL history, with his humour often bordering on the uncomfortably dark. We love MacGruber, the fantastic MacGuyver parody series that attracts A-list cameos like lightbulbs attract moths, and his creepy sex offender, Jeff Montgomery. Also has a penchant for singing odd, flighty songs with extraordinarily complex lyrics.
Where you’ve seen him In 2007, he made an ill-fated bid for stardom alongside Will Arnett in The Brothers Solomon, which he also wrote. Otherwise, he’s set up camp in Cameoville, showing up in the likes of Baby Mama and Fanboys. He also contributed to the script for Extreme Movie, alongside the Lonely Island guys: they really don’t like to talk about that. Oh, and he showed up in an excellent episode of Flight Of The Conchords’ first season, as hapless would-be actor, Ben, as well as numerous episodes of cult TV comedy, Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
Coming up A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, with co-star Jason Sudeikis, and possibly Party Boys, about ex-cons who become children’s entertainers.
The Next…? Martin Short.
