The Movies Of The Saturday Night Live Cast
Bill Hader
The Oddball
Tenure Hader, a versatile physical comedian and ace impressionist, joined the show in October 2005.
Best characters Vincent Price, constantly bewildered by the weird proclivities of his guests on a seasonal ‘50s talk show; and Greg, the incomprehensible alien co-host of a US football talk show. Hader is one of the most under-used performers on SNL, but there’s a sense that he’s just waiting to break out in a big way.
Where you’ve seen him An extraordinarily busy actor, Hader’s been popping up in supporting roles and extended cameos in movies galore since 2006. He was Seth Rogen’s bitch-obsessed partner in Superbad; he was part of Andy Samberg’s group of friends in Hot Rod; and General Custer in Night At The Museum 2. Like Jason Sudeikis, he also lent his voice to Grand Theft Auto IV, and he has co-written a Spider-Man comic with Seth Meyers. Oh, and he’s a producer on the current season of South Park. Busy guy.
Coming up? He’s playing a government agent in Simon Pegg and Nick Park’s Paul, for his Adventureland director, Greg Mottola.
The Next…? There’s something very Dan Aykroyd-esque about him. Although he’s better at voices than Aykroyd ever was.
