Space Age Side-Kicks Marvin the Paranoid Android The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Everyone's favourite depressed robot, the shiny-suited, incredibly gloomy Marvin is what would result if Morrissey mugged Daft Punk. He doesn't do a great deal other than hang around moodily, but he's always there when you need him, like a fire extinguisher or the Piccadilly Line. Plus he's created from the unholy alliance of Alan Rickman (voice) and Warwick Davis (body), which is pretty cool. Marvin is not just a robot sidekick though: he's also the inspiration for a Radiohead track ,and not a lot of extra-terrestrials can say that. Apart from the Subterranean Homesick Alien.
