Space Age Side-Kicks Hector Saturn 3
It's funny to think that this slice of sci-fi cobblers was concocted by Martin Amis. The novelist won't reminisce fondly about his screenplay, which deposited Kirk Douglas and Farah Fawcett on one of Saturn's moon's for no obvious reason, but he'll surely feel a glint of warped pride in his robotic creation Hector, a malevolent, metallic droid that lusts after Fawcett like some kind of horny terminator. With a chrome casing and two beady lights for eyes, Hector looks like a cross between a medieval knight and an anglepoise lamp. It also inspired one of cinema's creepiest taglines: "Something is watching, waiting and wanting on Saturn 3." Just so wrong.
