Space Age Side-Kicks | Gigolo Joe Space Age Side-Kicks
Gigolo Joe
A.I. Artificial Intelligence
It's all in the name. Jude Law's Gigolo Joe is a male prostitute mechanoid programmed with the ability to mimic love - using love songs to seduce the women he courts. Framed for murder and on the run from the authorities, Joe agrees to take Haley Joel Osment's David to Rouge City. Ultimately he is captured by an electro-magnet, but not before saving David's life. Law makes the most of his limited screen-time, sighting Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire as inspiration. "I had to be skilful in the art of attraction" Law said of the role. "You might say he's a sex 'mecha'".

"…Law makes the most of his limited screen-time, SIGHTING Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire as inspiration…"? I've seen 'em both too… so what? Oh, you mean CITING… Anyway, pedantry aside, what about Arnie in full 'Uncle Bob' mode in T2? I know he's supposed to be a protector but he does morph into a (slightly grating) comic relief.
