While Oliver Stone's film is a composite of a variety of possible scenarios, all the groups he mentions in the film were either highly plausible suspects, or as we know for fact in some cases, did actually participate in a cover-up of aspects of JFK's murder. The Senate House Select Commitee, in the last 70's, concluded that a conspiracy was the most likely explanation for JFK's death in Dallas, and much evidence has risen suggesting at the very least there was tangible FBI and CIA manipulation of facts and evidence. I don't believe in Area 51, or 9/11 nonsense, but for a political murder during the height of the cold war, the governments initial conclusion (lone nut) was naive to the point of being criminal. As recently as last year the CIA was still stonewalling a Washington newspaper reporter in court over the release of highly contentious JFK assassination documents, so take that for what you want. We will probably never know the all the people who were involved in JFK's death. Read More

QoS "conspiracy" actually not that complicated. Buy up seemingly worthless area of desert that contains a natural underground reservoir and charge ridiculously high price as the new utility supplier. The plot was nonsense was because Bond had to negotitate this conspiracy in order to find the address of Vesper's exboyfriend. Read More

As we've mentioned Where Eagles Dare.... finding out the names of all the German agents in Britain by crash landing an American actor posing as an important General near an German HQ so that he will be captured giving the British an excuse to go in and get him and extract the all important names from a member of the German high command using verbal trickery (deep breath) is just a flimsy excuse for some Boys Own heroics. Cracking film, but why not just unleash the WWII equivalent of Jack Bauer on the guy who they suspected was a traitor all the long and save all those travelling expenses. Read More

A good list, but I think there's a case to be made for Gof.
Voldemort wants Harry's blood so he can be restored to his full 'glory'. In order to do this, he puts oe of his goons into Hogwarts... where he teaches Harry a lot of valuable stuff, and helps him through a deadly tournament, so that in the final, he can be teleported away via the bewitched trophy. Instead of, say, giving him detention on the first day of term, then teleporting him away right then and there. Hmm. Read More
