The Fountain
Not everyone warmed to Darren Aronofsky's ambitious, triple-stranded tale of love, death and hairy trees - including a few of the Empire team. Dazzling and divisive, it was an undeniably beautiful looking film that, at the very least, gave its entire audience something to talk about.

Best Bit: The climactic supernova. Woah.
