Notes On A Scandal It was great to see Judi Dench bring out her dark side as scheming, twisted schoolteacher Barbara in this taut drama from Richard Eyre. In the space of a few lines of voiceover, one of Britain's most beloved national treasures became pure evil in drip dry knitwear.
Best Bit: Barbara's scathing voiceover: "Here come the local pubescent proles..."
