Empire's Top 5 Fights

5. V For Vendetta
It's not until very late in the movie that we see V's true combat capabilities, but it's worth the wait as he takes all the Creedy's bullets, waits for his goons to run out of ammo, announces "My turn" and single-handedly slaughters them all with nippy finesse.

4. Pirates Of The Carribean 2
The second of this year's great comedy fights is the triple-threat swordclash between Cap'n Jack, Will and Norrington, which takes them teetering on a massive waterwheel.

3. New Police Story 2
Jackie Chan confronts a criminal gang… in a toy store. The ensuing melee results in a colourful avalanche of Lego bricks as they trash the joint.

2. Warrior King
Elephant-protector Tony Jaa's quest to save his pachyderm buddies leads him to a restaurant with a spiral walkway to the top floor. Cue an astonishing one-take, one-camera, five-minute multiple-scrap scene as we follow Jaa's ass-whupping progress upwards.

1. Borat
Borat's naked wrestling battle with his sweatily obese producer Azamat - after catching the latter having a "hand party" over his Baywatch book - is easily the funniest fight scene ever committed to celluloid.
