19 Great Revenge Movie Characters | Walker (Lee Marvin)
Walker (Lee Marvin)

Movie: Point Blank (1967)

What peeved him off? Best pal John Vernon has stitched him up and scarpered with the $93,000 he’s stolen from a gambling syndicate. Big mistake.

Most intimidating quote: “I want my money.”

Vengeance, said a wise man, is a dish best served cold. In Walker’s (Marvin) case the dish is bullet-shaped and somewhere near freezing, as he relentlessly, and without any discernible emotion, pursues the men who stitched him up, stole his loot and left him for dead. Payback is predictably bloody.

Particular set of skills: Killing people. Walking down corridors. Killing people at the end of corridors.

Likelihood of violent death for perps? Extreme.

21 Umm and Where is Alex Murphy?
The manner in which Robo deals with his own executors is violent in the extreme. With Both Emil and Boddicker having TWO very nasty run-ins with Murphy after they've murdered him (yes he bumps into Nash twice, but the first is played for laughs). He also makes life miserable for the everyday scum who had nothing to do with his murder (his way of dealing with potential rapists being a very comendable method). But seriously...Robocop is THE best revenge film of all time...and you didn't include it???? More

31 The Essential and the Vendetta
The Count of Monte Christo Edmond Dantes (Jim Caviezel most recently) Probably one of the most patient avengers, as he spends 13 years in prison, planning a very sophisticated revenge. V for Vendetta V (Hugo Weaving) Starts a full-scale revolution to mask his vendetta against the people who took away everything he had and conducted cruel bio-weapon experiments on him and others.
