A Different Angle

Here, Rapace’s Shaw looks up in wonder at the Giant Head. Remarkably Giger-esque, those markings, aren’t they? And there’s something mighty familiar about the bio-organic constructs behind her. A hint at an Alien presence, perhaps?

1 peter weyland
I think Peter Weyland is an Alien. He know too much to soon. Look on the website of Wieland corp. Millions of products and patents created and owned by his company. The new trailer shows "A king is born and then he dies".... More

2 too much space
How come in all these sci fi movies the inside of the ships have so much room? Look at all the wasted space in the living quarters and storage areas, holy crap. Fuel must cost next to nothing in the future not to mention the tremendous force required to move all that tonnage around. But I can hardly wait for the movie!!! More

3 Sequel???
Wonder if they'll have a sequel about the hostile takeover of Yutani by Weyland! More

5 Landing ship page3
I'm pretty sure that's the Prometheus (if that's it's name) not a landing ship heading down to the planet on page 3. The ship sitting on the surface on page 19 looks the same as the Prometheus on page 2, but with its thrusters turned down in a vertical position. More

6 RE: 10 years
L: Pelle Apparently R. Scott only makes decent movies 10 years apart and allways at the turn of the decade. First Alien/Blade Runner double act, then Thelma and Louise at the begining of the 90's, 10 years later Gladiator and now Prometheus.f the movies from his filmography are pure bullshit.ote] Your post is pure bullshit. 8 Golly!
This movie has shot to the top of my list of "Must See" movies. It even surpasses The Dark Knight Rises. This trailer and the breakdown leaves a ton to chew on and the next half year is gonna sux cuz I want to see this movie more than anything. Hurry up, R. Scott. More

9 It's about time!!
Looks awesome!! Not a typical trailer we get these days which show the entire movie!! Going to be so fascinating learning about the origins of the 'Space Jockeys' and the notion of the Alien being a possible human/hydrid experiment! Long live Ridley Scott!! Good to have you back what you do best!! More

10 The Apple Of My Xenomorph Eye
Plus, the huge face is reminiscent of Ridley Scott's Apple ad. More

11 It's Beginning...
I'm glad that you've broken the trailer down this way, they deliberately used extremely fast cuts to make you see little and want more. Facehuggers can have "sex" with humans and create Aliens, trying the same thing with an android would be like fucking a condom basically. Charlize Theron is taking off her spacesuit because, just as Tom Cruise must do the 100 metres in every movie, so Charlize must get her kit off (even in ads she does it), it's in the contract and I'm not complaining. 12 Concerning Number 7
In No.7 you said, does it have a breathable atmosphere because the man's helmet's off? Well, the man is actually, the cyborg, played by a thin Michael fassebender. So yeahh. More

13 Still from page 39
The still of the ship's edge crashing down on p39 looks suspiciously like the bared teeth of a xenomorph about to strike. Intentional visual echoing? More

14 Never been more interested in an upcoming film in my entire life (including Phantom Menace) !
Nothing can live up to this, though have to keep that in mind when watching it and not let excitement get in the way of possibly the most significant sci-fi film since (and hopefully before) The Matrix! More

16 Leaping Man
If you look at a picture of the face of the alien (1979 version) then it looks like i has been constructed like a human face underneath. If you look at the face of the leaing man then it looks like his face is mutating into the same underlying shape. And the ridge at the top of his head looks familiar. Bit of conjecture here - i think the mutated humans form the basis of the Alien DNA, and he turns into something nastier later... More

17 RE: I apologise for the string of comments but......
In the first 10 or 15 seconds (the faint echoes, as they were called in the trailer breakdown) you can hear ' You don't understand... It is coming! It is coming! PROMETHEUS!'. I hadn't noticed this before, but somebody on youtube pointed it out. (vsmith23) More

18 I apologise for the string of comments but......
in a previous interview EMPIRE had with Ridley, he said something about characters getting probed or something, violently (I'm not sure if that was the word), as awful as it sounds maybe Noomi Rapace is attacked and seeks help from Fassbender? Idk.. More

20 THE LEAPING MAN
As much as he freaking bloody terrifies me (He really does for some reason) i don't think he's the space jockey. I think they are completely different characters in this film. More
