But don't let the rusty exterior fool you, this guy's not as stupid as he looks and he's always there for his buddy Lightning McQueen when he's in a fix. He's also a master at cow-tipping. Mater's license plate, A113, is a reference to the animation room at California Institute of the Arts, where most Pixar animators studied.
