For The Birds (2000) Ralph Eggleston's film saw the studio solve a couple more technical problems – creating feathers (which helped later with Sully's fur) and squishing characters together – but really this Oscar winner is best loved for its absurd birds: a flock of tiny snobs and the big geek that tries to join them.
