People seem to disagree to casting Elizabeth banks. I had the same first impression. But this is probably a red carpet (or the sort) snap and obviously she's made up for the occasion. With the right make-up she'll be nice for the role, although a lil young. ... Read More

RE: Rumsfeld
Yeah, didn't notice he wasn't there too. Also, Paul Wolfowitz was a major architect of the Iraq plan and (surprise surprise) a total slimeball as well. Interested to see who they'd cast for those parts. ... Read More

Josh Brolin seems too... I dunno, respectable? If I don't feel like punching something every time I see him, he probably isn't a good fit for Bush. ... Read More

Fallen at the first (lady)
The casting seems pretty good except for W and Laura Bush. Stone has gone for glamour over character. Both are too young and good looking to convince surely? A better choice would have been Tommy Lee Jones and Helen Mirren. ... Read More

Jon Culshaw for Bush!
Then I'd watch it. no question. and he should play Blair too. and Jan Ravens as Laura Bush. mostly good lookalikes otherwise actually (wait... i mant that bit). also, am i the only one who thinks of that Borat line whenever I see Barbra Bush? "Can you make me look like this man?" "That's Barbra Bush... the President's mother." ... Read More

Regarding the age issues.
The film mostly deals with George W Bush as a younger man, so it makes sense to cast younger actors and then age them as the story progresses. ... Read More

Hasnt Mr. Stone or his casting agents spotted the obvious flaw in his cast.... every one of the acTORS (bar James Cromwell) is about 25 years younger than their characters. Are we going to get the Invasion of Iraq played out like an episode of the Wonder Years ? ... Read More

RE: Really really good looking people
L: stevos I think it's too good looking a cast. Where are the character actors? And there aren't any really good actors in the cast. It's a typical, unimaginative studio 'would like list'. Like some glossy TV film. From this, Oliver Stone no longer seems to be the maverick director he once was. Erm... eh?  Granted, none of the cast have been hit with the ugly stick, but to say none of them are "really good actors" is a bit harsh.  Brolin is hardly a household name and Cromwell ... Read More
