I think Patrick was an amazing actor/dancer/performer - but nothing beats Dirty Dancing and Ghost IMO. Those movies are iconic and will always be remembered, and Sam is still alive in the pottery scene!!! It's right at the start of the movie, how can you not know that?? The whoopi/demi/patrick scene is right at the end, before the action. Jeez...

I'm disappointed to see that almost everyone has forgotten to mention one of my favourite Patrick Swayze movies: City of Joy - about a young disillusioned doctor who goes to Culcutta in India in search of his soul. Lovely film indeed based on a superb book (film is nowhere as good as the book but still very good). Point Break will always be my top favourite PS movie though - I must have seen it a hundred times as a kid!! Bodhi rules! Read More

He made the ultimate chick flicks (Ghost, Dirty Dancing) and the ultimate guy flicks (Red Dawn, Road House, Point Break). Not many people can do that as well as he did. Read More

I liked the scene in 'Point Break' when Utah is chasing Bodhi, and Utah injures his leg - he sees Bodhi looking back at him and then runs off. A standout scene I remember vividly with Bodhi in the Reagan mask (I think). Nicely done. Read More

AYBGerrado!! You couldn't lead this off with a tribute??
Anyway I will!! I love the Swayze not Dirty Dancing as that's not my cup of tea but I love Bodhi in Point Break and that film is one of my favourites and I don't mind Ghost either and Donnie Darko kicks ass!!
My girlfriend worked on Guys and Dolls with the Swayze and she said he was absolutely lovely and a really kind gentle soul so in our house this man will be sorely missed!!!
